European Film Promotion (EFP) together with Telefilm Canada and the Embassy of Canada in Germany is pleased to join forces to facilitate networking opportunities between the Canadian and European producers at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Market (Mifa).
28 producers from 13 European countries, will take part in the on-site event and meet 28 colleagues from Canada to get to know one another in short meetings and expand their international networks.

Canada and Europe both have a long history of international coproduction. In 2023-2024 alone, the EU accounted for more than half of Canada’s coproductions, with France, Germany and Belgium as top partners.
This cooperation marks the second time that EFP engages with Annecy’s Mifa to make European producers visible by networking and promoting a wide variety of key animation players from different European countries outside of Europe and highlight the acclaimed European animation scene.
