three european shooting stars nominated for european film awards

Fingers crossed! Finnish Shooting Star 2021 Seidi Haarla has been nominated for Best European Actress for her role as Laura in Juho Kuosmanen's film Compartment No 6. Also nominated in this category are former Shootings Stars, Franz Rogowski (Germany/2018) and Carey Mulligan (UK/2009).

The nominations for the European Film Awards were announced at the Seville Film Festival today. The European Film Awards ceremony will take place on 11 December 2021 in Berlin.

The European Film Academy and European Film Promotion (EFP) are currently exploring to cooperate on EFP's long-standing talent programme in order to benefit from synergies in promoting talent and films throughout the year.

The European Shooting Stars programme was held online in February 2021, with the award ceremony taking place in June at the Berlinale Summer Special 2021. New future talents, selected by an international jury for the 25th edition of the European Shooting Stars, are expected to be announced on 11 January 2022.
