European Film Promotion (EFP) is delighted to announce that eight former PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE will follow the call of EFP and attend the Focus Asia Program (April 25 – 27, 2018) by invitation of the Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy. The central meeting point for Asian cinema in Europe has organized a three-day programme of various panels and pitching sessions including a Decision Makers Lounge that is open exclusively to Focus Asia/Ties That Bind selected participants and producers who are part of the EFP/EAVE programmes to meet with their Asian colleagues.
The German participant Peter Rommel, who produced indie hits like WETLANDS by David Wnendt and regularly collaborates with German auteur Andreas Dresen (SUMMER IN BERLIN), expresses his motivation and expectations for the new EFP cooperation: "Attending the Far East Film Festival for the first time, I am looking for new impulses and new ideas for genre films. And, of course, as is the case with most of these small, tightly structured markets – productive meetings with new and hopefully visionary filmmakers from Asia.
