Sundance Channel is supporting the FUTURE FRAMES programme which European Film Promotion (EFP) will be launching in cooperation with the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) from July 5 – 7. Ten talented film students and graduates, who were selected from various European film schools, will be put in the spotlight with their films and guided as they take their first steps into the international film business.

The three-day event is financially backed by the Creative Europe – MEDIA Programme of the European Union and the respective EFP member organisations. FUTURE FRAMES is also partnering up with Sundance Channel this year. Sundance Channel offers an attraktive mix of independent feature films and original drama series. The channel has been available in the Czech Republic and Slovakia since 2011.

Sundance Channel is proud to be a sponsor of the FUTURE FRAMES programme at the 2015 Karlovy Vary Film Festival”, says Gail Gendler, Vice President of Acquisitions at Sundance Channel Global, who will be attending KVIFF. “FUTURE FRAMES' vision of supporting young directors resonates with our mission to celebrate creativity through independent filmmaking. We look forward to discovering new European talent this year at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival.

Apart from introducing the young talent to the festival audiences and the international film industry at KVIFF, the "ART OR CRAFT - Film Students and Teachers Face to Face" roundtable will focus on the expectations of the ten film students and the respective film schools in Europe. Moderated by Cineuropa, the discussion will concentrate on the mandates being followed by the film schools and on what the students are looking for – creative freedom or preparation for the market?
