“Unifrance is very proud to be one of the founding members of EFP. More than ever, Europe needs associations such as EFP to strengthen exchange of good practices and ideas amongst its member states. Together, we would like to shape projects that will help the European cinema sector to continue to be creative, innovative and strong within its European borders and beyond.”

UNIFRANCE
For more than 70 years, Unifrance has been using its experience of the international marketplace to support French cinema worldwide.
UniFrance is based in Paris and also has representatives for the U.S., China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. Its membership brings together around 1,000 French producers, filmmaking talents, agents and sales companies, which are working together to promote French film among foreign audiences, industry executives and media.
MISSIONS
Facilitating export and supporting the distribution of French films in foreign markets, through a regular presence at all major international festivals and markets (Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Locarno, Los Angeles, Busan, San Sebastián, Hong Kong, Venice, etc.), and by accompanying the release of French films abroad. To further boost this role, Unifrance launched in 1999 the annual Rendez-Vous with French Cinema in Paris, which has become the world's leading French film market and press junket. Abroad, Unifrance also organizes several markets dedicated to French cinema by targeting the strategic territories which offer the best opportunities.
Bringing French cinema to foreign audiences – including schools and universities – by organizing or supporting festivals dedicated to, or with a focus on French films across all continents and on the internet. This is underpinned by a constant effort to encourage direct exchanges between audiences and the directors, actors and producers who give Gallic cinema its great diversity.
Analyzing the strengths and special features of the French film industry on the international stage thanks to market survey tools that have been developed since UniFrance's beginnings. This methodical collection and analysis of statistics and economic monitoring provide UniFrance with some unique expertise in the field and make it a precious ally for industry executives.
Raising awareness about French cinema and its economic model among key stakeholders in the marketplace including foreign distributors, media, exhibitors, VoD platforms and institutions.
Encouraging the distribution of French short films and innovative contents (VR, AR...), which open up new creative channels and heralds the next generation of French filmmaking talent. Aid for promotion offered by UniFrance aims at facilitating distribution of short films at festivals, on the main markets and on the internet.
UniFrance launched the first French Film Festival on-line: MyFrenchFilmFestival - www.myfrenchfilmfestival.com/en/.
Unifrance is one of the 10 founding members of EFP.
