Unifrance was created in January 1949 with the aim of promoting French cinema abroad. Today, more than 860 industry professionals and talents are members of Unifrance and, together, they work to increase the distribution of French films on the international market.
Unifrance participates in approximately 50 international festivals annually. At these events it organises the presence of French films as well as the activities of French artists. In addition,Unifrance also takes part in film markets where it provides promotional and exhibition space for French industry professionals.
Unifrance supports the commercial distribution of French films in many markets outside France, helping French sales companies and foreign distributors to enhance the visibility of French films.Unifrance also organises many events, all of them situated in countries with strong commercial potential ("Rendez-vous with French Cinema"in Paris, French Film Festival in Budapest, in Japan, in Russia,"Rendez-vous with French Cinema Today"in New York and London, China, India, Brazil, among others).https://www.facebook.com/
