Summary
In the span of a couple of days, Pepe loses everything: his mother dies, his wife leaves him, his best friend commits suicide, he loses his job, and his house burns down. But even as his optimism and goodwill are put to the ultimate test, our woodcutter seems to be fine with it all. As if he held a secret to existence that is hard to grasp.
