Summary

The film-historical topos of the artificial human being is presented here in an unusual way with a focus on the emotional level. Elli is an android, a machine in the body of a girl, a sex robot. She lives with Georg, whom she calls papa. It is there to make him happy, because it was built according to his ideas. They drift through the summer, swim in the pool during the day and he takes them to bed in the evening. He loves her dearly and yet she's only fiction. In reality, his world is falling apart, his daughter will never appear again.
Georg created Elli from a memory that means a lot to him, but is nothing more than programming to her. She follows this one night, deep into the forest, following a weakening echo. When she meets her real role model, an odyssey develops that puts the audience more and more in Elli's perspective.
