Summary

The Chechen refugee children Oskar and Lily have been living in Austria for six years, but they still do not have a permanent right to stay. When the family is about to be deported, her mentally unstable mother tries to commit suicide.
The attempted suicide causes the deportation to be postponed, but Oskar and Lilli are separated from their mother and initially placed with different foster parents. The siblings secretly keep in touch with each other and hope to meet again soon. With the irrepressible power of their love for one another, they try to overcome every bureaucratic hurdle with passion and imagination.
