Biography

Abramovitch began her film career in London as a signed director where she did music videos, commercials and art films. Before going to film school, she worked exclusively at the media company VICE and i-D. Her documentary Pappa (2019) was shortlisted for the Swedish Guldbagge Awards 2019. With a sense of rhythm, humor and strong visual style, Angelika's films explore the boundaries between ugliness and beauty, pleasure and pain, with a craving for a little blood and always with a twinkle in the eye. Catcave Hysteria (2021) is Angelika’s graduation film from Stockholm University of the Arts.
