Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, Jorge Cadena studied Photography in Buenos Aires. In 2016, he received his Bachelor's degree in Film at HEAD - Geneva with his film, El Cuento de Antonia, which garnered the Tiger Award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2017. He obtained his Master's at ECAL/HEAD in 2018 with the film The Jarariju Sisters which premiered at this year's Berlin International Film Festival and received a special mention from the International Jury of the Generation 14plus sidebar. He has directed four films so far, with all of them having been screened at festivals around the world.
