Biography
Anna Roller was born in Munich and grew up in Gräfelfing. While still at high school, she realised her first films together with friends. Following her school-leaving exam, she did an internship at a film production and on the set of the Mark Twain adaptation Tom und Hacke. Before starting her studies at the University of Television and Film in Munich in 2014, she received funding for young filmmakers for two medium-length feature films. One of them, Kuntergraudunkelbunt, garnered a prize at the International Up-and-Coming Festival in Hanover in 2013. Her intermediate diploma film Pan was awarded the Starter Filmprize of the city of Munich.
