Producers on the Move 2008

Background Leonel Vieira graduated in Film Direction at the TAI School in Madrid in the early 1990s and returned to his native Portugal to direct his first feature film A SOMBRA DOS ABUTRES in 1995. Since then, he has directed five feature films, including Zona J., the fourth biggest box-office success in Portuguese film history, and is now beginning production of his seventh feature ARTE DE ROBAR. Leonel has also worked as a producer, beginning in 2001 for the company Costa do Castelo with the TV series "Espirito da Lei" and Jorge Felner's feature film MANÔ. Since 2006, he has served as a producer at Stopline Films for Jorge Sánchez-Cabezudo's A NOITE DOS GIRASSÓIS, José Sacramento's FILME DA TRETA and his own features, JULGAMENTO and the forthcoming ARTE DE ROBAR.
