Producers on the Move 2008

In 1996, Reinier Selen graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts St. Joost Breda as a documentary director and founded Rinkel Film Productions BV, initiating and producing Pieter Kuijpers' feature film GODFORSAKEN (2003) which won three Dutch Film Awards in 2003. That year, Edwin van Meurs became a partner in Rinkel Film & TV Productions BV and together they produced Pieter Kuijpers' OFF SCREEN and Arno Dierickx's BLOOD BROTHERS. In 2009, Reinier produced Urszula Antoniak's English-language feature debut NOTHING PERSONAL which won six awards in Locarno and four Dutch Film Awards last year. He has since served as a co-producer on Rebecca Daly's THE OTHER SIDE OF SLEEP and is now developing the ecotech thriller SOLAR. In addition, he collaborated with partner Ivo de Jongh to produce a pilot for a cross-media series GRLZ & BOYZ and the TV show FLOOR FABER. Selen is a member of the Dutch Producers Association (NVS) and member of the EAVE network.
