Background Fredrik Heinig runs and owns St Paul Film, formerly known as Spader Knekt, with his colleague Johannes Åhlund. Fredrik, Johannes and writer-director Johan Kling worked together for almost ten years on numerous television and film projects, including the TV series "Stockholmare" and "Spacer". In 2007, Fredrik produced Kling's debut feature film DARLING which became the year's most rewarded and nominated film in Sweden, winning the Nordic Film Award in Gothenburg and the Swedish critics' Greta Prize, among others. He currently has two feature films in production: Johan Kling's next film TRUST ME and Kristian Petri's BAD FAITH, both set to shoot in 2009. In addition, Fredrik and St Paul have produced over a hundred commercials for award-winning clients in Sweden and the rest of Europe. This commercial side gives the company a stronger financial position enabling it to focus on scriptwriting and preproduction and not rush projects into production. Last year, Fredrik won the Lorens Marmstedt Prize for "Producer of the Year 2007" and was nominated for "Best Film" at "Guldbaggen" 2008.
