Producers on the Move 2008

Background Max Karli studied Far Eastern Languages before attending the New York University Film School. He was then appointed as the co-manager of the former European Film Market of Barcelona in 1999 and followed this with work as an editor, assistant director, and the co-coordination of the Geneva Film Festival and the Swiss Film Market. In 2003, Max created Rita Productions together with Pauline Gygax and has worked since then as a producer. The company's goal is to produce features and documentaries for theatrical release as well as for television. Their last completed productions are a 26 minute TV series "T'es pas la seule" is being currently aired on National Swiss television, and soon on TV5, as well as the TV movie "UnleaSHEd" which has received several distinctions and has been projected throughout the world. Rita Productions' upcoming projects include fiction and documentaries such as Daniel Schweizer's DIRTY GOLD WAR, Yann-Olivier Wicht's LES VIVANTS, Robin Harsch's L'ENFER ROSE and more.
