Producers Lab Toronto 2010

BACKGROUND: Having graduated in Audiovisual Communication, Fine Arts and Advertising, Luis Angel Ramírez has wide experience of working in different cinema fields. He is a producer member of ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen) and EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepeneurs) as well as a member of the Spanish and European Film Academies. He has produced feature films like Javier Maqua's CHEVROLET (1997), Santiago Tabernero's LIFE IN COLOUR (2005), Daniel Henriquez's A METRO FROM YOU (2008) or Diego Lerman's THE INVISIBLE EYE, premiering in this year's Directors' Fortnight at Cannes. In addition, he has produced several prize-winning documentaries feature films, such as Gaizka Urresti and Javier Espada's THE LAST SCRIPT, BUÑUEL IN THE MEMORY (2008), or UNIT 25 (2008) and THE SHARK'S EYE (2010), both directed by Alejo Hoijman. At the moment, he is developing an omnibus film, WE NEED TO TALK, directed by seven international women directors, and the European thriller THE COLD WAY.
