Background: In 2002, Iván Angelusz and his friend Péter Reich joined a group of former film school students of the late filmmaker and teacher Sándor Simó to set up the production company Katapult Film. Its main activities are the production of experimental films, feature films, shorts, commercials and documentaries as well as organising the Katapult European Script Center screenwriting workshop, and the Film Days of Madzag dedicated to European first films. Iván produced Gábor Fischer's MONTECARLO! (2003), Diana Groó's MIRACLE IN CRACOW, Szabolcs Hajdu's WHITE PALMS (2005), which won the Best Producer Prize at the 37th Hungarian Film Week, and Ferenc Török's third feature OVERNIGHT. In 2010, he was also involved in producing Hajdu's BIBLIOTHEQUE PASCAL and co-producing Marian Crisan's MORGEN and has now several feature films in pre-production including Oscar® nominee Géza M. Tóth's animation film TOMI'S STRUGGLE.
