Alexandre Cebrian Valente
Background:
Alexandre Cebrian Valente was born in Lisbon in 1968. He has a wide experience of cinema production as well as advertising, corporate films, among other genres. He had the opportunity of working with some of the most prestigious film directors - Manoel de Oliveira, Andrzej Zulawski, José Fonseca e Costa, Raquel Freire, José Nascimento, João Botelho, José Álvaro Morais, Pedro Costa, Tom Donnely, Pilar Miró, among others.
Alexandre also gained another angle on audiovisual production when he served as the senior director for private TV channel SIC's project SIC FILMES and executive producer on a number of programmes for Portuguese public television.
In 2004, he founded his Lisbon-based production outfit Utopia Filmes and - apart from music videos and commercials - produced his first feature THE CRIME OF FATHER AMARO by Carlos Coelho da Silva in 2005. This film has become the most successful Portuguese production in the history of Portuguese cinema.
