Producers on the Move 2012

Alessandro Borrelli founded La Sarraz Cinematografica in 1997, producing and directing shorts, documentaries, including the Locarno winner Gymnopédie, before renaming his company La Sarraz Pictures in 2004. The company is based in Turin and has three strands: features, webplatforms (cross/transmedia and interactive works) and creative documentaries. To date, Alessandro Borrelli has produced 14 creative documentaries, five webplatforms hosted on the web by Corriere della sera (Corriere.it or Corriere.tv) and the first feature film by the De Serio twins, SEVEN ACTS OF MERCY, supported by Eurimages, which had its world premiere at the 2011 Locarno Film Festival. This film has been invited to over 80 international and national film festivals and has won 20 awards. He is currently developing two interactive works: FACELESSBOOK -ENTER REALITY, which is supported by Media Interactive works (the first time for an Italian film company) and Alessandro is also working on the preproduction of the latest feature by the French director Eugène Green LA SAPIENCE. In addition, he is developing two new creative documentaries and four features. Alessandro Borrelli has been member of the ACE network since 2011.
