Spotlighted by European Film Promotion (EFP) at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival July 1 – 2, a group of exciting directors from across Europe are presenting their films to young festival audiences in the Czech Republic and furthermore are also being introduced at both a Press Cocktail and a Film Industry Cocktail. The popular sidebar “Variety’ s Ten European Directors To Watch” with its fresh and exceptional film selection attracts quite a large number of young people every year. The directors and their films were chosen by critics from the international trade magazine Variety. The MEDIA Programme of the EU and the ten participating EFP member organisations are supporting the event together with HBO / Czech Republic.
