EFP publishes information for 10th lineup of aspiring European producers in Cannes

Chosen for their outstanding work, 23 up-and-coming producers from across Europe are traveling to Cannes for the 10th edition of the PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE programme, May 16-19. Two participants of European Film Promotion’s (EFP) initiative moreover will be presenting their newest films in sections at this year’s Cannes International Film Festival. Jaffa, directed by Keren Yedaya and co-produced by Emmanuel Agneray (Bizibi) from France, has been selected for Official Selection, Special Screening. Another co-production of Emmanuel Agneray, The History of Aviation directed by Balint Kenyeres, has been selected for the Directors Fortnight. Croatia’s participant Ankica Jurić Tilić (Kinorama) sees Party (Tulum), directed by Dalibor Matanić, screened in the Semaine de la Critique (Critic’s Week)/Short films.

Supported by the MEDIA Programme of the EU, PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE aims to promote emerging European producers and to support cross-border collaborations be-tween aspiring European production companies. Films of former PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE selected for various sections at Cannes 2009 are proof of the quality of the initiative’s participants.
