Summary

A recently divorced father sets out to win over his ex-wife and kids. Taking along a work buddy without letting him in on the plan, Jean-Louis drops in on his little family that has relocated to the south of France. Too anxious to ponder, too hurried to explain himself he drags everybody into an explosive week-end full of revelations.

Taped in a few days with a MINI-DV camera, BACK FOR MORE develops an intense relationship with reality, giving the actors all the space: they are the ones who bring content and rhythm to this tragicomic tale of everyday life. The film is both scripted and improvised: the scenes and narrative events are written down, but the actors have complete freedom to articulate them at their whim. The result is a filmic matter breathing with life and constantly evolving, producing a live spectacle sincere and surprising.
