The battlefield is the Recchi household. Mirrors, flowers, money, and a cold air. Emma and Tancredi, their children, Elisabetta, Edoardo, Gianluca, friends and fiancés, grandparents, genealogy and the future generations officiate the trading of places, management changes, family strategies and consolidations against the backdrop of the bedrooms, hallways, snowy gardens, the great kitchens of the Recchis' Villa. Progressive consolidations of roles that are continuously more shocked by the awareness of the social class they belong to - the great industrial middle class in North Italy (Lombardy). A stranger to that world, Antonio, a young chef who is accustomed to compromise, stews his emotions in dishes that don't have the right to be served at the family's restaurant.

Emma and Antonio are two individuals who are out of place in the worlds they live in. Passion leads them to crash into one another, disrupting relationships and putting both in contact with nature. This gives Antonio inspiration for his creations and while Emma take distance and builds a new identity.

A very high price to pay. Only one possibility for redemption: love.
