Same Same But Different - based on the autobiographical novel of German journalist Benjamin Pruefer 'Wohin du auch gehst' - tells an unusual and moving love story. After finishing school Benjamin goes on a long journey through Asia. In Phnom Penh he meets the Cambodian girl Sreykeo and instantly falls in love with her. He leaves the chill of his traveler's world and experiences with Sreykeo the fascinating, yet bewildering reality of Cambodia. Against all odds he tries the impossible: to remain together with Sreykeo forever.
