Producers Lab Toronto

EFP in partnership with the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)

EFP has extended its 13 year partnership with the festival in including a new initiative at the Toronto International Film Festival. With two additional partners, the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), EFP will facilitate international co-productions involving producers from European countries and Canada, to meet and exchange projects, ideas and knowledge with the aim of increasing the number of concrete co-productions.

EFP will bring 12 producers to Toronto, selected out of the Producers on the Move participants. The Canadian producers will be selected by OMDC and TIFF. All participants must have a track record of successful project development and production, experienced in international co-production, and concrete interest in collaborations between Europe and Canada. The objective is to enhance the competitiveness of European films on the Canadian market and the competitiveness of Canadian films in Europe.

Activities are made possible with the support of the EU's MEDIA International programme and the member organisations of EFP. In addition, PRODUCERS LAB TORONTO is supported by the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
