Flanders Image

Flanders Image was launched in 1990 with the specific aim to promote the distribution of films made in Flanders and Brussels (Belgium) throughout the world. Its prime objective is to increase awareness of Flemish audiovisual creations abroad and, where possible, to support the positioning and release of recent audiovisual works on the international marketplace. Flanders Image is the sole official representative of Flemish cinema at all key international festivals and markets. It maintains ongoing contacts with festival directors and curators, sales agents, buyers and distributors, as well as with the media.
Flanders Image also advises Flemish producers and film professionals on international marketing and sales strategies for their respective works. Information about new and upcoming audiovisual creations is distributed through various publications, both in print and electronically. Besides the comprehensive flanders-image.com website, which contains news and a product database, there are the Flanders Yearbook (annual), the Flanders Image magazine (three per year), the Content newsletter (three per year) as well as product flyers presenting individual features.
In 2003, Flanders Image joined the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF). It regularly works together with such structures as Brussels Export, Mediadesk Flanders, BAM, the Flanders Representations abroad and the international network of FIT agencies.
Flanders Image therefore is your prime source for all information on audiovisual production in Flanders and Brussels – Belgium.
Flanders Image is one of the 10 Founding Members of EFP.
“I consider European Film Promotion an excellent tool, a great platform where promotional bodies from all over Europe meet to exchange expertise and knowledge.” Christian De Schutter
