Film Fund Luxembourg

The Film Fund of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg exists to promote and encourage the development of the country’s audiovisual production sector, administer film-making incentives and assistance schemes, and to help the political authorities create an environment in which the industry can flourish.
The fund, an official body, was established by legislation in 1991 and restructured in 1999. It enjoys financial and administrative autonomy while remaining under the supervision of the government ministers responsible for the audiovisual sector and culture. The organisation’s formal title is the "Fonds national de soutien à la production audiovisuelle” (National Fund for the Support of Audiovisual Production), or FONSPA for short.
Its principal activities are as follows:
to manage the different incentive programs available in Luxembourg for the production of audiovisual works and decide on the award of financial assistance to audiovisual productions
to promote the development of Luxembourg’s audiovisual production sector, in co-operation with the organisation representing the country’s producers, ULPA (Union Luxembourgeoise de la Production Audiovisuelle)
to assist the supervisory ministers, particularly in the drawing up of regulations for the audiovisual production sector
to compile information and statistics relating to the audiovisual production sector
to decide on the award of ‘Luxembourg nationality’ to audiovisual works and maintain the national register of productions
The Film Fund Luxembourg has been an EFP member since 1999.
"The EFP network has opened countless new boundaries and doors for Luxembourg’s film sector and its professionals, through the years and ongoing…” Françoise Lentz
