The programme, entitled Industry Screenings in the USA, started successfully in November 2005 with the industry-only screenings of 4 new European films at the Tribeca Cinemas in New York City. Following the debut of the programme, the series takes place two or three times a year, with each session showcasing several films with commercial potential from different European countries. Each of the films are being presented by their respective sales agents, who are actively involved in the marketing strategy and presentation of the films. EFP is responsible for on-site management and co-ordination of the event.
In 2008, the first session of screenings took place in June in New York, the second session will take place in November during the AFM in Los Angeles.
With this initiative, EFP re-states its commitment to helping European films receive greater exploitation in the all important North American market.
Complementary information

year of the programme) and three films were acquired for US
